Showcasing Quebec theatre for young audiences

FOCUS Québec is a unifying event held every two years to highlight Quebec performing arts for young audiences among international, Quebec and Canadian theatre-presenting organizations.

By offering an exceptional performance space and by promoting exchanges and meetings, the event contributes to the artistic outreach of Quebec companies at both the national and international levels.

FOCUS Québec was initiated in 2012 by the Maison Théâtre, L’Arrière Scène, the Théâtre jeunesse Les Gros Becs and Les Coups de Théâtre. In 2021 and 2023, it was organized in association with Parcours Danse.

Eco-responsibility

FOCUS Québec aims to be an eco-responsible event. Here are some examples of what we’re doing to make it so:

Carbon offsets will be paid to Compensation CO2 Québec, a recognized local organization, for all air travel by participants.
Local suppliers and social economy enterprises will be encouraged.
Lunchtime meals will be vegetarian.
Dishes and utensils will be reusable or compostable.
Attention will be paid to reducing paper printouts.
Active and public transportation will be used for travel during the event.
Participants will be invited to hand in their passes at the end of the event for reuse.
